Itinerary 10-day Desert Tour form Marrakech
Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech
Begin with a guided tour of Marrakech, exploring iconic sites such as Jamma el Fna Square, Koutoubia Mosque, the vibrant souks, and various palaces and museums. Visit other parts of the city, including the modern Gueliz district, the serene Menara Gardens, and the famous Majorelle Gardens. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, the rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge
Travel through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, arriving at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its appearances in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate, where you can visit Atlas Film Studios and a local Kasbah. Journey through the Valley of Roses and finish the day in Dades Gorge, where you’ll stay overnight in a hotel or riad.
Day 3: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara
Begin the day with a visit to the dramatic Todra Gorge, a popular spot for hikers and climbers. Travel through the scenic Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known for its rich deposits of fossils. Visit a local factory specializing in fossil-based art, with a chance to purchase unique souvenirs. Proceed to Rissani and explore the local souk before riding camels into the Merzouga Desert. Day 4: Merzouga Desert

Day 5: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes
After sunrise in the Sahara and breakfast at your desert camp, begin your journey towards Fes. Travel through the Ziz Valley and pass by the town of Erfoud, known for its fossils. Continue through the Midelt region, nestled in the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, continue your drive through the scenic landscapes, arriving in Fes by evening. Check into your hotel or riad for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Fes Guided Tour
Spend the day exploring Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish quarter (Mellah). Wander through the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and discover landmarks such as the Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the souks before retiring to your accommodation in Fes.
Day 7: Fes – Chefchaouen
Depart Fes in the morning and drive towards the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, explore the town’s famous blue-washed streets and charming medina. Enjoy the relaxed ambiance as you stroll through the winding alleys, visit local shops, and perhaps sample some traditional Moroccan food. Spend the night in a riad or hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 8: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
After breakfast, have some free time in Chefchaouen before driving to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Visit key sites such as the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. After lunch, continue your journey to Casablanca, where you will spend the night.
Day 9: Casablanca – Marrakech
In the morning, visit Casablanca’s major attractions, including the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the world. After lunch, return to Marrakech, where you can enjoy some last-minute exploration or shopping. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time in Marrakech before being transferred to the airport for your departure. This marks the end of your 10-day Moroccan adventure.
