Day 1: Errachidia – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
We’ll start the day by picking you up from your hotel in Errachidia. Enjoy a traditional breakfast with mint tea and local bread before we head out. After a one and a half hour drive, we reach Erfoud, the “Gate of the Sahara.” Here, we’ll explore fossil shops and learn about the area’s rich paleontological history while enjoying a coffee break and tasting fresh local dates. Next, we travel to Rissani, a historic town with a bustling market. We’ll visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty, and explore the local souk, where you can find various fresh products and spices. Around noon, we arrive in Merzouga. We’ll have lunch at a local restaurant, savoring traditional Moroccan cuisine before heading to our accommodation. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on an unforgettable camel ride through the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying a breathtaking sunset. Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll explore Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah and learn about the history and culture of this fascinating town. We’ll continue our journey to Marrakech, where we’ll explore the vibrant medina and its bustling souks. You’ll have time to visit the main attractions, including the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and the Majorelle Garden. We’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
