Itinerary Tour from Errachidia to Merzouga and Marrakech

Day 1: Errachidia – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

We will start the day by picking you up at your hotel in Errachidia. Enjoy a traditional breakfast with mint tea and local bread before departing. After an hour and a half of travel, we arrive in Erfoud, the “Gateway to the Sahara”. Here, we will explore fossil shops and learn about the rich paleontological history of the area while enjoying coffee and tasting fresh local dates. Then, we travel to Rissani, a historic city with a bustling market. We will visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty, and explore the local souk, where you can find various fresh products and spices. Around noon, we arrive in Merzouga. We will have lunch at a local restaurant, savoring traditional Moroccan cuisine before heading to our accommodation. In the afternoon, we will embark on an unforgettable camel ride through the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a stunning sunset. After the camel ride, we will arrive at a desert camp, where we will be welcomed with mint tea and a traditional dinner. We will spend the night under the stars, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the Sahara.

Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

We will wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast at the camp, we will ride camels back to Merzouga, where we can refresh ourselves at the hotel before starting the day’s activities. We will visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, enjoy a traditional musical performance, and learn about the history and culture of the community. We will have lunch at a local restaurant in Khamlia, where we can try regional dishes. In the afternoon, we will explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi in a 4×4 vehicle, visiting various panoramic points and enjoying the thrill of driving through the desert. We will return to Merzouga at sunset, with free time to relax or explore the town. Dinner will be at a local restaurant, followed by a stay at a hotel in Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

We will get up early to enjoy breakfast before departing for Ait Ben Haddou. We will pass through stunning landscapes and the majestic High Atlas Mountains along the way. We will visit the ancient kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, we will continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”. Here, we will explore the Kasbah of Taourirt and learn about the history and culture of this fascinating city. We will spend the night at a hotel in Ouarzazate, enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Errachidia

After breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Errachidia. We will enjoy picturesque landscapes, stop for photos, and rest along the way. We will arrive in Errachidia in the afternoon, where our tour will conclude.
