8-Day 7 Nights Best of Morocco Tour from Rabat

Day 1: Rabat – Casablanca and Marrakech

We are picked up and driven to the major attractions of Casablanca once we arrive at the airport or hotel. The main sights of the city are then visited. We travel to Marrakech and stay at the Hotel/Riad for the night.

Day 2: Marrakech City Excursion

Today, our 8-day journey through Morocco, starting from Rabat, continues with a guided exploration of Marrakech. We’ll visit major attractions and landmarks, including the famous Jamma el Fna Square, Koutoubia Mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. Additionally, we’ll explore areas such as Gueliz, Menara Gardens, and Marjolle. Overnight accommodations will be in a riad in the medina.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades

Today, we travel via the High Atlas Tizi N’tichka pass, stopping at Berber villages along the way to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. Our journey continues to Ouarzazate, where we will visit the main sights, including film studios. We will then drive through the Valley of Roses via Skoura and Boumalne, reaching the Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight will be at a hotel or Kasbah.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, we drive through the Dades Valley towards Tinghir and the Todra Valley, where we’ll enjoy panoramic views of ancient mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. At the Gorge, you’ll have the chance to walk beneath the 300-meter-high red cliffs, popular with rock climbers. We then continue to Erfoud and Merzouga, where we’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea. Dinner and overnight will be in comfortable lodgings in the Sahara desert in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we explored the Sahara Desert, walked around Erg Chebbi, visited Khamlia village, and riding camels on a 1-hour excursion to the desert camp. Enjoy dinner and the beautiful sunset in the desert, spending the night in a tent in the heart of the desert.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Midelt – Fes

After breakfast, we ride camels back to the village and then travel through Erfoud, Errachidia, and the Ziz Valley. We will reach Midelt, followed by the Cedar Forests of Azrou and Ifrane, and finally arrive in Fes. Overnight accommodations will be in a hotel.

Day 7: City Excursion in Fes

Enjoy a city tour of Fes, a cultural and spiritual hub designated as a Universal Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO. A full-day guided visit will reveal the oldest of the imperial cities, including its impressive and ancient medina, mosques, madrasahs, and tanneries. Overnight will be in a hotel.

Day 8: Fes Transfer

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Fes, Rabat, or Casablanca, marking the end of our 8-day Moroccan tour from Rabat.
